Positive: Food was amazing, location was great child friendly and safe. Very close to the slopes. Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff.

Negative: Bathroom could do with updating, poor water pressure from the shower and a rickety shower door. Room could have a little more light as you need the curtains pulled as it overlooks the car park. No ceiling lights in bedroom or living room. Some confusion regarding modify an order for an allergy. And some confusion about the cost of the set menu. ( might be my fault possibly cheaper if you order in advance.)

Positive: The resort is fantastically located right at the bottom of the slopes, offers very nice design and a typical 'nordic resort' experience. The breakfast was fantastic, the hotel offers numerous options (bowling, spa, fitness center, indoor playground, bar, cafe) to spend the time beyond skiing.

Negative: Priced at 700 Euro per night for a family, some extra charges were surprising (e.g., additional charges for a capuccino for breakfast, additional charges for using the sauna) and some experiences hopefully just bad luck (e.g., 3x closure of the pool during our 3-night-stay, full charge of about 30 Euro for the remaining 1hr spa time before 4pm closure on Sunday).

Summary: Great experience at the Vestlia Resort - with some easily addressable shortcomings

Positive: Location very good, also all activities for kids, both playground and swimming pool is very nice.

Negative: Found a metal string, like a staple for a staple machine in the burger meat. Rooms are ok, but very basic. With the guest segment that the hotel has, the rooms could have more amenities in it like a fridge, glasses, coffee etc. Breakfast staff could offer coffee by the tables during breakfast service.
